Classes with Nika are amazing. She knows so much about make up and also knows how to actually teach it. She is so nice and always willing to answer any question you have. You will not be disappointed if you take a class with her. She also likes to collaborate with other local artists and have demonstrations that are incredibly helpful! -- Aly, yelp.com
Nika is one of those rare teachers that does not hold back when she is explaining or teaching you something. She will literally tell you all that she knows. And she doesn't get annoyed by people who ask a million questions (that's me). I'm in a season of my career that I'm trying to take things to the next level, and her class was the perfect class for me to take at the right time. -- Jocelyn, yelp.com
If you want to learn a lot, from a fabulous teacher, in a fun and friendly environment, this is the place for you. -- Molly, yelp.com
You will never regret taking a class with Chicago Beauty Exchange. Nika's is not only an educator with an enormous expertise in makeup artistry, she is also an excellent teacher. I was lucky to experience her makeup 101 class and airbrush class with her, which gave me clean understanding of both subjects. -- Kasha, yelp.com

"Makeup Certification" and the Professional Beauty Industry
A "makeup certification" means a student completed a makeup class. That's it. A "certification" has absolutely nothing to do with a state license or a diploma from an accredited program. There is no industry standard or requirement for what many students refer to as "a makeup certification." It is just not something professional hair stylist or makeup artists ever use or something commercial clients request as a credential. The two best credentials an artist will have is a portfolio and resume of clients and published work. Please keep in mind that we offer seasonal workshops, classes, and events geared towards professional artists and students. We are not a cosmetology program or a multi-month/year school.
